Decided to renew my insurance with a broker iv never really heard of before - fresh insurance ltd there underwriters are marker study who iv been with possibly all four years iv bought insurance, I though ahoooo, my renewal was only £600

Just got the policy through, and they've asked for a deceleration which asks me to sign for an advanced licence check, iv never heard of anything like this before and a bit iffy to give my licence details across authorising them to go into it

Anyone herd of this and do you have to sign this? No one said anything like this when I paid my deposit! Help and opinions are apreciated

I'm guessing there just checking to see if have/haven't got any points, leading to fraudulent insurance, in case you haven't declared them.

If your all legit i shouldnt worry about it.

Nah all that is is an extra half hour added on to you test, I can't see how this would be related to that. As Matt says its probably just a driving back ground check to make sure you told them the truth when taking out the policy

All is legit iv not told them lies just was a bit iffy about this as I'd never heard it before, iv gota talk to them anyway so I'll ask but as insurers always bend the truth I was just wondering what it's all about

i've always had this when i took out car insurance, its nothing to worry about.

the insurer is just asking your permission to check your details against the dvla database to see if you actually have a license and what points (if any) you have. :-)
