but when it worked, boy oh boy what a bike it was.

Is it still blown up?

no, fixed now, a pushrod decided to rip itself a new one, quite literally. so replaced them but it still sounded a bit rough, but its sounding smoother with running it.

Far too cold for this shit at the present time!

It's alright. Pretend you're on a scrambler, sit upright, tense your core and push the bike down into a lean to corner.

Had my scooter out in the snow last year (couldn't get the van off the drive) and it was fine.

Ha! Maybe 20 years ago - they were my only form of transport back then. These days I'm a bit of a cripple with arthritis. Used to be pretty good in deep snow though - the floorboards stop you from falling over!

Well, the journey begins tomorrow. I've hardly ridden anything more than a bog seat in the last ten years. Budget allowing, my aim is to get up to advanced standard by the end of the year. I just know I'm going to start the day making a tit of myself on a 125 though. Never could ride anything you have to rev the nuts off all the time everywhere.

I'm presently eyeing up an NT650 that hasn't moved for a lot of years, so could be very cheap, or very expensive if I don't look at it right.
