The customization you can do with any bike is endless, don't restrict yourself to some lame stripped down 50 (most mopeds look like the above once stripped). So just buy an old Honda vision, rip the plastics off and paint it army green for a fraction of of the cost of that.

yeah but PVW says there cool

  • How did I miss this thread! Here's one of mine, built from scratch.

  • Husaberg 400FE, that thing was an absolute animal to ride, but the kickstart was on the left, it needed an oil change after 30 hours riding, and they flood through condensation, so you needed to rebui

I got mine resprayed, got rid of the mirrors and left it with a slick minimal look, to me that was all I wanted bar re-enamelling the wheels and getting a new chrome fan cover.

Had bikes since i was 9. Started on a mallagutti grizzly (rev and go 50), was a laugh. somehow ended up with a gigantic chinese 4t 150cc beast which is still knocking about in the shed. bought a KX85, razzed everywhere on that for about 18 months til the police cracked down on everything and i sold it. Had no bike for about 2 years, then i fell in love witha c90. Which i then broke. Bought a ratty old DT50. Which i then broke. Saved up a nice chunk, bought an RS125. Which i then broke. Just need to strip and rebuild it (crankcase gaskets gone) , just cant be arsed though! Still got that DT knocking aobut, might throw the parts on it, get it running and rag it about for work.

DT's are awesome. I had a 125 for a bit when I first passed my test need there's no other bike that will let you get away with half the stupid shit I used to do on it.

The dumbest one I did was riding it down the road and not seeing a corner til it was too late. So I nailed it, hit the verge, hopped a ditch, landed it in a field, turned round and rode back out without putting a foot down 8-)

As promised... 1984 Yamaha RD125LC Mk.1...

I had a rd50 years ago that I blew up and scrapped, probably worth a few bob now :-(

Yep... Into 4 figures now for a minter :?

Really?

It was just like this one but with out the graphics, paid some thing like 60 quid for it off some one who had stripped it down and cleaned/painted everything then gave up

'Fraid so.

There's a guy on a couple of the forums and all he does is restore RD's.

He is proper anal about them, right down to having the correct bolts with the green coating on them.

My ZR50 earlier in the thread is insured for £2000.

Yes! I haven't seen a ZR 50 suzuki before, it looks like a fun little bike!

sorta similar to my H100!

Here she is, i found a pic from my facebook.

It's currently under restoration itself!

I had a H100 back in the day. I bought it purely for the engine which I stripped out and bunged in a Honda MB50 as it bolts right in.

Had so many fun times on that bike. It responds very well to tuning, being clocked at just under 90mph at one point

Oh yes i've heard all the stories, apparently the 6speed mb50x gearbox fits straight into the h100 engine too!

I still have the 100, in fact it's just been restored. I'll take a picture of both that and my Vf750f when I go round to see them next.

I put a h100 engine in an mt5 (scrambler version of the mb), gearing was way out tho due to the big rear sproket. I also put a Chinese version of a cg125 engine in one too which was more suited to it gearing wise, it used to thump its way up any hill 8-)

I once found a mb50 in bush

:lol::lol:

Have you still got that bastardised contraption thing that you posted earlier btw? or has it been passed on? 8-)

Still got it mate, its maturing in the back yard

I found shit loads of dumped bikes as a kid in different states of disrepair

These H100s are popular  my old one ....

Also have a YZ250 in bits , 1975 Honda XR75 , and a PW50 8-)

Watched "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" the other day, can anyone tell me what bike she rides in that?

Mark you need a 'piss pot' helmet and scarf to fo with the pc!

I used to have a thing for rxs100's, they were amazingly easy to get a wheelie out off for a commuter bike

:-D lots of my mates had em years ago , straight bars and allspeed exhuasts great fun , i did my part one bike test on one , funnily enough got a bollocking for pulling wheelies in the practise session

Way ahead of you on the pisspot :-D

Started with a honda crf 50 when i was about 8

Then had a kx 85 for a bit

Then a kx 125

All stayed standard

Then a shameful down grade to a road legal 50cc derbi senda that probably spent more time in parts than on the road

I made it my goal to make it go as fast as it could possibly go which resulted in lots of blowing up but was all fun

the same bike went from a 50cc until it blew up then to a 70cc and then when that blew up went to an 80cc ! Oh the things we do when we are young

I could never show how nice the colour actually was in pictures either, looked so nice in the flesh, was ford st orange but with a load more perlescent :-D

Yeah man!

A ribbed front tyre? Either you're a madman or you used it for commuting.

I thought mine was the best learner legal bike out, I turned down the bars an' all.

With different rear shocks, it was Knee-On-Deck material.

this was a few years ago but my first bike was a gilera smt same as a derbi senda with a derbi senda engine 80cc mallosi hyper racing kit ...28mm carb.... metra kit exhaust did 88mph flat out haha

then i got this just for fun on weekends :)

PICT0399.jpg

Here's my bike - can't find the most recent power graph - but i'm at 165 BHP at the rear wheel from 95BHP to start with.
