ahhh its that one! seen the outside shots before. i love how minimal the engine/interior is. should have gone for a 1 afh though rather than the gti engine surely? love it!

Why not the gti Eric? It makes more power as standard than an Afh.

the hybrid of the two is suppost to create more torque than the 1.4 afh on its own hence the suggestion however if you would like to know exactly why this is suggested may i suggest speaking to either saf or mikeymk as these two people are imo the most qualified in such subjects as for stripping a mk3 it takes less then 15 mins as we proved at action this year when i was about to go down the strip

Also, it allows the use of a MK2 distributor without modification.

Mikey has done something to make the dizzy fit a gti head, not sure what though. Easier to just use an AFH head.

Different strokes for different folks, it really depends what your after. Like with mikey, he's gone with the gti head so he can run the vvt

Also the roller rocker design on the later heads is shit, seen a fair few fail now (not just on the gti's either) due to the rockers shitting themselves

Apparently vw had a lot of trouble making them reliable in motorsport too

I really need to see how he's solved the problem with the bracket at the gearbox end of that cable change, that's assuming its the one from the 6n2, looks like it tho
