I'm just basically looking into ideas and options That I have for the car , everything is standard at the minute , but going to strt looking into a new stainless exhaust and maybe an induction kit, just wondering what sort of things people are doing with theirs and maybe throw some suggestions my way ? And maybe anything else I could do performance enhancing wise ? I'm abit dumb with these as my other cars a mk2 coupe s so obviously it's all totally different !

Exhaust, decent induction kit (BMC CDA?) decent cold air feed. Chip? Dunno about cams as are vvt?

Are there any chips ? I couldn't find any info on it ! Looking into the enclosed induction kits now , stainless exhaust will probably have custom made , not sure on cams at all :-/ vvt ? What's that ?

I think you can get chips/a remap yeah.

Exhaust shouldn't be a problem, I think an AFH manifold will fit, then you can just use any 6n system, but custom maybe better as can be tailored to what you want.

VVT is variable valve timing, I know know of anyone who stocks cams for this engine so, but saying that I'm not sure if there's need to cam it/it's justified with VVT.

I know someone on here had a few small mods on his GTI and was then 138hp IIRC

variable valve timing is were as certain points in the rev range, the cam profiles change on the inlet side to adjust valve lift or duration. this can either be done to make the engine more economical (nissan almera 1.8 110hp ) or for MOAR POWERZZZ (Civic type R) so VVT is similar to VTEC,VCT,BBC, SKY and the disney channel.
