Mk4 6n 16v rear bumper modification?

Featured Replies

hi, I'm thinking of putting my number plate on the rear bumper instead of the tailgate.

I am going to smooth the tailgate completely.

But i was just wondering if anybody has seen a 6n 16v with the number plate on the bumper (With recess).

I've looked on google and stuff for pictures but cant find and of real quality.

has anybody got any pictures of theres or anybody else's that have done this?

Think the above car would look alot nicer without the twin backbox and the towing eye smoothed out. imo

Progress...

I thought I'd better get a bit done today.

Got the recess onto the bumper and got the general shape before SMCing it!...

How gutted is that owner gna be when he comes to getting new tyres and they have to remove his wheel weights leaving a noice blank patch haha.

Bumper looks great actually mate! is it just fibreglassed in from the back same as the towing eye cover?

we bonded the recess on first with silicone sealer and then used the plastic bonding filler to strengthen in right up so no chance of cracking. =D
