watch this space. weld in cage to go in once stripped. close ratio gearbox with LSD gripper diff. 13inch wheels.

this is being built to do Rali Bro Preseli which I won back in 2004 with Blondie on her 1st rally and have been invited back as a past winner.

right then. remaps for this car whats out there a quick google search has shown a few different options. but what have people used and opinions please on which i should go for?

also these CDA induction kits. how good are they?

what kind of power gains can i expect for these two items plus a decat?

cheers

Someone on here dyno'd a standard GTi with nothing but a CDA and they gained ~1.9BHP IIRC.

nice! still wont be nothing compared to the mk2 though ;) haha. on the subject of it, you dont still have the arb blocks do you? good luck with the build!

wish i had a garage, especially as big as this!!!

started strippingthe car for seam welding and rollcage fitting. has to be stripped right back.

Going to ask a very noobish question but what is seam welding, I've heard of it quite a few times but never actually known what it is?! :)

Where all the seams of the pannels are, eg where everything is spot welded together, you put more weld along these to stiffen up the entire body of the car

the stripping continues. these are hard work compared to a mk2 lol. so much electrics everywhere.
