recently bought a keyless entry kit on ebay for £40 with little/no instructions

its a right click keyless entry kit for the 6n with vw rep flip keys.

here is a little guide to help in future will take you 10 mins maximum and is very simple :)

First you will need to swap these two wires on the plug and play cable (white/black) x (white)

without doing this buttons on key do opposite to what they read

then connect up the control unit , led and also attach the plug and play cable like so

the central locking pump is located behind the drivers side rear light. unplug the connection and plug in the male connection of the plug and play cable

lastly you will need to connect the remaining connector to the pumps original connection

All done, press the button on the key and give it a try

yeah it was that simple, a friend also bought it for his valver and fitted it using these instructions, only he never had to swap the two wires like i did :(

there were some instructions but not a lot to go by, it mentioned something about connecting an alarm but mine is not alarmed.

can also connect to the indicators

What did you do about the key blanks? Don't new keys have to be coded by vw?

seems alot easier than the rclick one i got where ihave to solder and cut wires

Also, do the indicators flash when you lock and unlock the car?

Same question as Alex, I want one for my 6n2 (which has all round central locking. but also want the indicators working

Just bought one of these for my 6n hopefully its a simple fit for me!

This was so easy to fit. To make the indis flash, just connect one of the Brown wires coming from the unit to the black and white wire going into the left hand rear light cluster, and the other Brown wire to the green and black wire on the right side. Done. Took all of 10 minutes in total, just need to tidy up the wires now

I had one of these, lasted about 7 months before my car decided it liked unlocking itself
