Hi guys, desperately looking for a set of the square headlights for my MK2 Classic, mine are knakered and my MOT is due! Any help much appreciated, can't find a set anywhere!

What exactly is wrong with them, adjusters knackered? Good luck finding a set, v.rare and carry a hefty scene tax. Have you considered round lights just to get it through the MOT?

Yeah adjusters are broken on one side, and both of them have bad chips and cracks. I have considered round lights, but then I'd be stuck with a standard looking Classic. That's a last resort!

i made an adjuster myself, easy if you have aa stud the right size, thenlock two nuts together on the back of the headlight, so that when you turn it the headlight stays in the same place on the stud

if you do go down the route of getting normal lights or find a new set of square ones i will have the damaged ones off you will give you good money and trade a 4 light circle grille if your keen. cheers. oli

ebay.de and then make one good set out of a foreign pair and a broken UK pair?

You can get them fro Classic Parts Centre, not cheap though but they are new and original VW, can order throught VW Heritage if you have part number

Sorry mate I'm gonna keep the knakered pair to put back on after the MOT, and keep the new ones as a spare set!

Already tried mate, tried Hella, the classic parts centre in Germany and the UK, as well as loads of other places. They just aren't made anymore as there isn't enough demand for them! Luckily I've found a second hand set in good condition on here so it's all good
