Depends on the car.

My Corrado VR6: Big power, exhaust noise, handling.

My Mk2 Golf 16v: Originality inc standard performance.

Mk2 Polo Breadie: Bought entirely due to bodywork condition as i only wanted the shell.

Humm none of the above.

So either Handling or "how it makes me feel" if a car can change your mood for the better, then surely thats its best feature.

Reliability followed by running costs, if it can't get me to work and turn a profit doing so, I might as well be on a train.

unfair, theres a few things, a cross between grip/power/handling/reliability

I'd say first and formost it has to be reliability as I fucking hate walking, after that everything else kinda rolls into one and its how much fun I have building/driving it. Atm I'm enjoying the challenge of sorting the car out with an aim of getting my 1/4 mile times down over the show season

For me, its in gear torque pull, like riding a wave of boost!

It has to be fun, even if its slow, handles shit, looks crap... aslong as its fun to drive, its all good.

I'm gonna disgard reliability, because it's ruining the poll for me. Having a car fail to start, or break down during the journey, is a pretty obvious unacceptability of the highest degree.

I don't care too much for economy outside of commuting, but that's a totally seperate thing and is relative to the job the car has to do.

For the rest, i think it's a fair poll, but it's more a list of order than an individual option.

Handling is probably the most important - but not grip. I like it to slide, drift, be adjustable - but at road speeds. If it handles too well, like it's on rails, that's boring. So i use shit tyres and set it up to make it challenging at predictable/acceptable speeds.

Interior is more important than exterior - that's where i am, what i see, and more the point, how i feel everything. Nobody outside the car gives a shit about your car so it doesn't matter what it looks like.

Performance, same thing - a free-revving nature is preferable to absolute licence-loosing power, so no 'chargers please, i'll go for cable operated individual throttles everytime.

I chose interior, as long as its a nice place to be has some gizmos and is comfortable its the most important factor for me in everyday use. however when I feel Yobbish its handling I like making the car slide about on bends and the comedy lean makes it very fun indeed and I love the relatively revvy nature of the engine.

I've got a v6 with a milltek. Its by far the sound of money exploding out that exhaust!

id say wheels so at least you can move even when the car is broken down

All depends on the car, if it's got a sweaty little engine in it, Definitely stance.

If it's got potential to be quick, speed may win, but still must be stanced.
