i was unsure before but i have had alot of intrest and I'm looking for offers around 1200 had numerous phone calls and it currently has 80 watchers it has to be the best example of this car left it the uk the paintworks as smooth as a babys arse inside and out. when i purchased the car the passangers seat had never been sat on neither the back seats and the window on the passenger side was seized shut. the elderly women who traded it in at the garage i work for treated it like her pride and joy and i have treated it the same.

Wasn't the fox coupe a special edition mk2 from the mid 80's? What you have there is just a fox and would be one of the 812 listed on your link in your eBay add not the 20 odd that you claim

mines on the log book as a polo fox coupe not a fox mate all graphic plastics also said polo fox coupe.

They all say coupe, hatchback or saloon on the log book that's just the body shape, but the limited edition mk2 was actually called the fox coupe (they did it a lot with the mk2's coupe S for example). Mk3 foxes are ten apenny, there's no way on gods green earth there's only 22 mk3 polo foxes left on the road

Just tidied up the thread..

But what cars were registered as at the DVLA is a bit hit a miss.

Some might have been registered as just a Polo.. Some Polo Fox Coupe, Some Polo Coupe Fox or just Polo Fox either way it's not a rare special edition .. sorry to say..

So really it should be this 861 licensed and 244 SORNed

Any changes done to the exhaust? looks like its coming out the rear corner? They aint that rare mate. paid £330 for mine 4 years ago. only break down I've had was the dizzy cap and battery last year.

Amazing colour for a car, had one before. Was very keen until i saw you were dreaming about the price. I'll offer you £500.
