Hello people,

I've been exploring a while here to find some inspiration and I would like to introduce myself.

I'm from The Netherlands near Maastricht, in a small town called Ulestraten ( ) , so my English isn't that great... . I'm 19 years old, got my driver's licence at the 17th of March en bought my neighbor's Polo straigt away! He's a real Volkswagen enthousiast, so it was well maintained :-D .

It's a Polo 6N 1.6 8V from July 1999. It has electric windows, electric mirrors, airbags, heated mirrors and a heated rear window . The neighbor fitted some FK Powerlooks, clearglass indicators, a Kamei grill, fitted lowered springsset from V-Max, bought some 15 inch BCA Split's and he fitted a nice Remus exhaust. Because it's made after 1997, the Dutch distributor stopped to cut down on the rust treatment,, so it has no rust at all! Enough talking, this is how I bought it:

After I bought it, the gearbox broke down, so that was replaced with a new one, I had a dent in my back bumper so I fitted a new one, I got rid of the side strips, bought a coiloverset, got rid of those ugly wheels and bought some nicely polished 14 inch Steffan BCW's (8J in the front and 9J in the back), fitted 6N2 mirrors, stuck on a Passat 3BG VW-logo in the back, fitted orange indicators with US-modules, painted black my VW-logo and made a custom under spoiler. I fitted a Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Recaro G60 interior wit custom seat slides (I'm busy with adjusting the slides again) , I fitted a Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI 16V steering wheel, painted black my A-, B- and C-panels, bought an Alpine BASS subwoofer with amplifier and I have ít neatly hidden in the floor. I also fitted two bass woofers and two tweeters underneath the shelf, and I replaced my green dashboard lights with the red ones coming from a Seat Ibiza from 1997. I'm pretty sure I forgot to mention some things :!:

These pics are taken at the Subdubbers New Year's Meet and Greet last sunday.

It's coming togethes nicely, but I'm not done yet. I'm currently working on a custom Raid HP 300MM steeringwheel, half coverd in black alcantara. And there's still plenty happening!

I much prefer the front end now and it sat on the Steffans, did you wire the indicators in to your sidelights I take it?

I've also been thinking about switching to the red backlit dashboard lights like the Seat's have! I have a seat headlight switch already and think I much prefer it to the green;d

I'll make some pictures tomorrow! It filled up the wole well, is a lot thinner, it looks a lot better!.

Depo 6N2 lookalike headlights look awesome with orange indicators, smoked original Hella's also. I'm the only one in the whole country with that front end .

I'ts also time to show everybody my custom stickers :-D !

I finally finished my Recaro G60 seats, I'll make and post some pics of that too!

And I got my WheelWhores.Com air refresher .

Why do you neet RHD Powerlooks? Does it even matter ?

I've got a set of LHD ones just like yours eightvalve, haven't fitted them yet though.

I don't suppose you know what bulbs are best for them, or what ones you are running?

I've got xenon, Pilot HID H7 8000K.

Okay, this explains a lot. I would try to customize the lenses, it can't be so difficult.

I made some new pics this afternoon, some of my finished front seats and rear seats, the Passat 3BG logo and just a random pic.
