Wasnt going to get one of these untill the one of my friends said he wanted £700 for it so waa quite a bargain with 75k on it. Came with standard wheels etc so i put some wider wheels on, nothing special at all (looks worse than standard) just wanted wider wheels.

Plans are to get it on some coilovers and some nice decent wheel.. Any ideas? will get some better pics up! :-)

So .. some updates from before!.. i have fitted some lovely clean g60's! And some ta coilovers, just fitted them today and heres the outcome, bit low for my liking as bumps etc¬¬ will probably have to raise it a bit more :) or just set fire to all the speed humps ( wahtevers easiest :p)

Next plans are to get some scratches tided up! And buff out some faint marks that will come out, ( previous owner washed it with a brillo pad or something¬¬)

Wouldnt mind getting some new side mirrors.. thinking of black ones? :) got some stickers coming also :p

I'd be careful on those rears of those bandeds buddy, they poke and the tyre sticks out of the arch, it's a hot topic right now :-)

you made me contemplate a 6n2 with the g60s on looks really subtle, i think 9j is too much thought from personal experience, should of banded the g60s to 6+7j

It's quite possible mate, they're really touchy on it recently.

i reckon you'll struggle to flare the enough but no harm in trying and i want to see the results, pictures asap please!

The g60's did suit it, ran my surf blue 6n2 on them and looked smart. But I reckon you can pull off those banded steels. Maybe carbon/gloss black roof wrap and mirrors?. Also needs to be lower to pull it off, so maybe arch work needed.

Well funny as it sounds i've ordered some new mirrors and some 3m di-nic carbon wrap. so that will be happening soon and also going into workshop tomorrow for arch work :)

I've just recently bought new wheels for my 6n2, with 8.25j all round, and my arches have been rolled and flared on rear. Have a look. http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?...=283747&hl=

You might have to cut them arches off and weld wider arches on to accompany 9j.

Then again you'll have more of a stretch with them tyres than I do so might get away with flaring to the max

youre gonna need ridic amounts of camber/ arch work to make these wheels work.

sorry to bring the mood down but 9j et0 (so it looks) is just karazy on a polo!

G60's looked so nice, imo I'm soz mate but the 9j rear looks really wide, unless you roll you arches or camber the rear.

apart from that looking good so far keep up the progress

Sorry i haven't replied guys didn't think anyone looked lmao! Well.. Turn out rears were just too crazy! the perfect width for a 6n2 is defo 7".. Sold them banded steelies and getting mine banded to 7j & 7.5j for rears. or maybe just 7 all round. also carbon wrapped my little vw badge on the front and just maybe do it on the back also or just spray it black. I carbon wrapped my mirrors but because of this weather the 3m do noc started to go a bit anal. took the carbon off and sprayed them black.

Another little cool thing i did was de wiper it. and used the spray hose as a water pistol! will get pics up! :)
