Morning all, I'm after some after advice, I've got a 6n 1.4 16v, it's got a bad vibration from the front, it's road speed related, seems to happen at about 20mph and gets worse the faster you go, happens in and out of gear, I've a a quick look and listen on the ramp at work can't seem to see alot wrong.

Anybody had this before or got any ideas, appreciate its hard to diag a fault with seeing it any suggestions or advice would be appreciated

could be front wheel bearing see if it stops vibrating around corners when weights taken off one of the front wheels, that would point towards wheel bearing if the vibration stops or eases off

Not all the time, spin the wheels and feal for roughness and a drowning noise.

could it be the wheel weights?

Unlikely as doesn't come through steering wheel

Basic checks - Wheel bolts are tight. Tyre pressures are correct.

It is unlikely to be due to out-of-balance- wheels at that speed.

Could it be brake related? You could see if it is still there when the brakes are applied.

loose drive shaft gearbox side ????

Pretty sure I've got this sussed, pretty sure it's a ns driveshaft. Defo NSF, drove it on the ramp could feel vibration coming from ns. no play in anything, no whinning or droning from the wheel bearing.

just fitted a used driveshaft and it appears to be worse , but the gearbox dont sound perfect either
