So I brought this car completely standard in October last year, due to the gearbox going in the polo I had before. Being that the polo I owned before was a 5 door I decided to go for a 3 door instead. A month or so after driving around with it completely standard I purchased a set of cheap coil overs. So after driving around for a while on standard steels I decided to start saving for some decent wheels. After a couple of months of saving and constantly browsing for a set at a reasonable price, I eventually brought the Steffans and couldn't wait to get them on the car. I finally got them fitted but when i let the jack down, the arch sat on the tyre so me and my boss spent a couple of hours rolling them. So that's pretty much all I've done to the car at the minute. I'm hoping to have it painted within a few months, I'm still debating on whether to keep it the same colour or do something a little different.

I do have future plans for the car but as my ideas are forever changing I wont bother posting them until it actually happens. I'm currently looking at buying 16v bumpers but I'm considering the 6n2 bumpers, and still deciding on interior.

Anyway here's a few pictures (Sorry for my poor photogrophy skills and also the quality of them, I'm hoping to get some decent ones tonight)

This when i first got the coilovers fitted only to find getting the car off the driveway would be near impossible without shed loads of messing around:

Very little will happen over then next few months as my Tax and Insurance is due but will keep you posted.

Amazing what wheels and suspension do to the car. think a smoved 8v bumper will work welll IMO but i really like it so far keep us posted dude :)

What as in, smooth the numberplate recess and tow cover? And will do mate.

Yeah have been meaning to remove them for god knows how long but keep forgetting lol

I quite like it.. I've seen pictures of that car before but never taken any notice of the bumpers.

Personally I still prefer the 16v bumpers if I'm honest.

yer he runs 8v front aand 16v rear. will be at most of the shows this year along with the rest of us :)

Ahh right, will be good to see what it looks like in person! I did debate on whether to stick with the 8v front a while back as it started to grow on me but think I'm going to go with the 16v and then maybe go for the 6n2 bumpers

So not much has happened for a while due to saving for insurance but I'm hoping things will start to pick up, especially now summers on its way!

Well i picked up some 16v bumpers at the weekend and had alot of fun fitting them in the pissing hard of rain

Anyway this is how the car stands at the minute..

I'm hoping to get her in the bodyshop soon, its just getting the time to squeeze it in. Still deciding on whether to keep the same colour or do something a little different.

Ha ha tell me about it, will be getting different tyres for the front when it goes in to be painted as I will be taking the wheels off and refurbing them.. I wasn't expecting them too look so shit, but might aswell get my usage out of them first
