A new site that myself and a selected Team have been working on over the last 6 months or so has finally gone live this morning.

Founded in mid 2011 5 friends from different modding scenes came together with the intention of creating a new site, to focus on the UK side of the scene, the side that appreciates a fine body regardless of the make.

Coming together with a variety of skill sets from photography, web design, plus a keen eye for what looks good the aim of Gridlock is to provide a snapshot of what the UK has to offer with cars and motorsport.

only thing that bothered me was 'gridlock' being an american word. shoulda called it traffic-jam.com

traffic-jam.com is a good idea but it's being used as a re-direct link by another site. I have to agree that the site looks great, the only thing I would suggest is using wider background images so that the edge of the image is also the edge of the page.

should have got a few more pics from inside the Senna tribute, was epic.

definitely more pictures needed. be good if clicking on a picture itself brought up more pictures of that specific car.

We have considered wider background images but we have had to compromise on 1600px wide background which covers the majority of popular screen sizes, larger images are larger in file size too and we didnt want to slow the site down too much.

We do have a number of analytics running on the site to monitor screen sizes so we can change the background size when larger screens trend higher

Size seem perfect for me, with a 22" screen
