thinking of going for a slightly lowered look

20/30mm lowered springs worth it on a 1.9 SDi 6n2?

Wouldnt bother mate, wont notice much different. If going for springs get 60mm kit, look good and not too low.

I had a 40mm kit and not much difference, then went to 60mm and now on coilovers.

Why?

if you are likely to keep your car at that height buy the lowering springs, but I would recommend coilovers so that you can alter the ride height as often as you like. 20mm is not much at all, with 40mm lower my car didnt look particularly different.

Mine are coilovers, I lowered it 40mm first for a month or so then went lower, means I would have to have bought another set of lowering springs whereas coilovers you should only have to buy once.

If you want your car to look lower then 20/30mm wont cut it.

This is my car lowered 40mm and it hardly looks lowered.

If you are happy with a slight drop then get lowering springs but bare in mind that a decent drop on springs will need shorter shocks, making it simpler and probably cheaper to get coilovers.

I was thinking of doing mine 30/30 as I don't want much drop at all , I guess not everyone wants their cars hugging the floor , it all comes down to how you want it to look, coil overs will offer you the ability to change as you please , but at a higher cost, I was just looking at the H&R lowering kit as I have a pair on my mk2 and the ride quality is awesome But they are 60/40,
