6n2 arches

Featured Replies

Hi guys new to the site. Just joined today. Just looking some advice here.

I have a 6n2 polo lowered on coilovers general stuff. But I was running a set of banded steels on it. Widths etc unknown as the fella I bought them off knew nothing about them. Anyway I had the wheels on the car for nearly a year, they looked the business an really set the car off. However the rear wheels poked 4cm out of the arch an this attracted unwanted police attention. After court and other issues I had I resolved. I'm looking to put the wheels back on but need to fit an arch kit on the rear to keep the wheels legal. I've seen a few bolt on kits an have a body worker ready to fit them. But I've also heard corsa b arches fit. Is this true an if so is there much work involved? Thanks guys

bump any ideas guys before i go and spend money on these arches an get them bonded on?

not sure on the corsa arches but yes as you've said you best option is either get a bond on arch extention or have your standard arches flaired, 4cm seems quite a bit so there may be cutting and welding involved as the metal will only stretch so far before it puls the top of the quarter in, all down to how much you want to spend, having the arches cut and flaired will cost ££££ but the cheaper option will be the bond on arches (although you will have to flaire the arches abit behind the add ons, up to you as to what look you want and how much you want to spend

Cheers man. Yeah the body guy says due to the style of the panel an th plastic rear bumper it would take alot of time an ££££. So I've spotted a set of universal jobbies on the bay. Going to get them bonded in an the car is going to be painted by a mate.
