Just some critical feedback, just sayin....was an easy fix didnt need to fork out all that cash.

Well for future reference that is not the way to give critical feedback.

  • Sould of cut the arch/bumber after to allow it to come off .. Could of made it look ace if it was tapered and done .. Just be a shame if it cracks now :/

Not even like i was hating on it, i said before the car was looking clean and good.

the only thing that i dont like is those gash arches which yourself admitted too not liking.

i just say it in a plainer fashion than brown nosing.

Get it on 14s or 15s mate, Low is good, and as i've posted so far all positives well done! but, 14s or 15s would look a tonne tidier and give it a bit more arch fill!

Arches are looking cool as i said, some 14s at 9 or 10j would look so sweet under them! do it! mine was stanced, wheels looked in place. go for that, wish i'd kept that stance!

Going well fella!

No offence mate, but this was looking cool until you wacked on those gay as fuck arches.

all you needed was some camber and too roll/ pull your archs and you'd be fine.

each to their own n all, but this is gay.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but this is just plain rude.

Ok, people have said they don't like the arches. Personally i'm not a huge fan BUT to call his car gay when obviously a lot of effort has gone into it is ignorant and well, down right disgusting.

Grow up lad and learn some manners.

To the OP, not my cup of tea, IMO makes it look like reverse rake city. I remember the days growing up back home when reverse rake was super cool, cut springs in the back of your corsa b?????

Maybe it still is. Been so long since I was home I don't know what the scene is doing these days!!!

Ino most people don't like it an I agree with the fact it looked like reverse rake because it closes the arch gap. Tbh I'm not 100% sure of it still. Yeah I loved it before with the poke but ended up in court an aload of hassle. I still need to raise it at the back and it can go lower at the front but i need the chassis notch. Looking into wider steels in 14s. It's still a work in progress as I'm nowhere near complete.

No worries about the comments lads. All types are accepted..everyone's entitled to their own view :)

Yeah ino I liked them loads at the start but seeing them everyday I start picking up on the fact it's an arch on an arch. At times I'm tempted to pull them off.

Mate, I must be honest. I don't like your Polo. I love it. :-D The rear arches and blue steelies look class. Keep up the great work. Much respect. :-)

Looks mint mate, not a big fan of the arches, IMO you should of either had all 4 arches put on and space your front wheels out because it would of been very low and very wide and would of looked stunning or not had any put on, but its your own car so do what you want.

Keep up the good work dude

I've it booked in to get fronts widened and rears flushed better so it's not an arch on an arch and blends better. Then space the fronts:D I'm doing a gti swap on it at the minute:) gonna strip the rear and stuff. Should be good fun:D

Yeah I get you man. It's marmite like but it grows on you. I've plans to sort the rears and fronts out. Should look smoother and more subtle

Yeah I didn't change my clocks. I needed the whole engine loom as I took an 8v out and put a 16v in. I used a gti immobiliser and key. Unplugged the old immob plugged gti in with gti key in it and tucked away. So I can still use my old key and key barrel.

I'm still running the 8v fuel pump, starter, fan and gearbox but with a gti clutch and flywheel. Interior loom is still 8v it wasn't touched.

What thats nuts everyone i know thats done a gti conversion has told me to buy a smashed up gti and reshell it into mine but that sounded like effort lol bit confused tho did you get the gti key to work in the 1.4 barrel?

Maby you can help me with my problem i bought my car as a 1.0 8v but it was fuggered so i found a cheap 1.4 8v and wacked it in there, when i tried the 1.4 ecu it wouldnt work with the 1.0 imob obvs so I've been running it off the 1.0 ecu ,the 1.4 ecu is from a diff car than the one the engine came from, Do i need to get the ecu imob and key from the car that the engine came from or can i just get it from another car with the same engine code? Sorry about the essays/20 questions its just buggin me running as 1.0 lol

Awesome work on the car mate, marmite but i like it :)

Althoughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. needs some proper wheels that are silly wide and the rear arches need to be blended into the car better.. so it flows into rather than having a step if you get me?

keep it up tho!

Gotta be honest those rear arches ruin it for me, just looks like you couldn't go low because of the poke so stuck some arch trims on lower. Would look so much better with properly flared arches and rear lows to match the front.

arches look poor!! dont like the car i think your trying to hard..?

No worries dude. Sure this is the point of forums. Get help from peops who have done it!

I still use my 1.4 key in my 1.4 barrel. What I've done is unplugged the 1.4 immob and plugged in the gti immob with the gti key in the key transponder and hidden in car.

In response to other questions it would be best if you got ecu, key and immob from same car cause I think they will all be coded the same. Don't think they need to be from same engine. But don't quote me on that.
