I'm seriously thinking of doing a 4wd polo mk2 or 3 saloon or coupe or breadvan. I can get my hands on a golf 4 motion that's had the inside burnt out a complete write off but all the engine and running gear is fine. I know it won't be an easy job to do but we have done a few tight fits and lots of fabricating. Just wondered if anyone has done it and it would have a vr6 engine? Cheers in advance phill

I think there is a guy on here with a 6n polo with a VR6 turbo converson, he was talking about a 4wd system in that but don't think it's been started yet.

sorry but i have to point out the shocking welding in thoes videos, you'd at least think thed get better doing lots of welding, or at least cover it up rather than posting on you tube lol, the build concept is pretty interestin tho

I've decided to do it now lol got the golf and cleaned out the garage for the cars to go in. Just need the base car now want a mk2 or 3 polo don't mind what type and our aim is to have it done for the middle of the summer to take it to the pod and make mince meat out of some people in there m3's and scoobys and so on will be fun. Will get pics up as soon as I can

i was planning on doing a 4wd mk2f coupe but i have recently brought an aircooled t25 van so i am now 50/50 on wether or not to do it but good look and i look forward to seeing yours with some progress

on polotreff there is a polo3 with a 1.8l 16V turbo synchro( if i spell it right!)
