I have just got a R reg 3 door 6n polo and the drivers side back pannel has been smashed off a pole (not me) was just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to replace it and if so any rough idea on a price??

Prob around £300 mark at least for a rear 1/4 to be fitted and sprayed!

It'll be much more than that. Cost £450 for a front replacement on my mk2 8 years ago! They just bolt on and so require no welding, cutting etc. Is the metal creased? Its possible it could be assaged out, filled and then painted. Pictures help

last time I checked a rear quarter panel for a 3 door 6n was £312 inc vat

to cut the old one off, have the glass removed, weld on the new one, seal it then paint it and rebuild it you'd be looking at about £400, so yes it can be doe but not cheap for a single panel

agree with jordan eff, we'd want around £400 to remove glass, remove damaged pannel, replace with new pannel and paint inc blend, might work out cheaper to simply pay your insurance excess and have it done or try have it repaired, wont be perfect but a repair may only set you back between £280-£380 so work out cheaper

just thought, if you tried thru your insurance theres a strong chance they'd write it off as an insurace repair would cost more (this is due to labour rates are higher wit insurace work) so your pushig nealy £1000 an theres no way they'd stand that on an 'r' reg polo, sad but true
