Cheers m8!!

Good lord that's gorgeous!

I'm just going to presume this was the one up for sale at mega money in the for sale section/pistonheads a few months ago. Think it was priced at 4-5k and the new owner paid less than that but still big money.

If it is then I'm pretty sure its had a fairly large amount of tidying up to get it in its current condition. Especially the engine internals and engine bay. Seems ridiculous and expensive to pay all that money for the car to then rip the engine out and put a G40 block in it. You would have been better off looking for a different GT shell i think. (Cue huge debate).

My tip would be to let it be what its restorer meant it to be... A brilliant example of a GT.

Look after it, as from the pictures/build thread it looks to be the cleanest GT around.

Hi yer it was the one! 4k it was up for!

The car is mint and I mean it! I work in Vw bodyshop! The engine has had sum work cleaning bits changed! I love it

There's something's I'm going to do to like wheels, they are up for sale one in the pics!!

NOOOOOO!!

Keep it on the RA's. Problem with a car this mint is that modifying it in anyway from what looks factory is almost a crime. If you fancied some other wheels i would just keep them in storage at least. I love RA's on a mk3 polo but then i would say that :-)

Keep it GT and keep it as it is.

Great work and even though everyone slated the price tag i don't think you can put a price on something that really is that mint. Other mint cars from the same era go for similar money to what this was up for so why not a polo?

Keep it clean.

Crazy clean, nice buy.

Has it been painted?

It's lacking the black transfers on the tailgate and B pillars.

Very nice though. White always is when it's spotlessly clean :-)

Good spot!

It had been repainted as i remember the for sale thread. Volkswagen stickers make the number plate recess and B pillar stickers (great product). Be aware that the numberplate recess sticker is a idiot to get right as the recess is curved and the sticker tries to wrinkle when you apply it. Can be done thought just needs a bit of care and a hair dryer can prove useful.
