Bored of cars easily...

Featured Replies

Just a random...

Basically i get bored of cars that i buy very very easily, i get excited when I'm looking and buying them then a month or so later i want something new.

Could be because i haven't found the 'right' car for me yet but does anyone else get this feeling?

My ideal car is something quick, old school, able to get low and not stupidly unreliable.

Had a 1.0 6n which went low but was slow as hell, have a mk3 polo which is nippy but i hate the suspension set up and little things keep going wrong, also have a mk3 golf tdi which is quick, for what it is and goes low but just lacks something.

Hard to please!

I'm exactly the same had 4 cars before passing my test been driving 7 months now an I'm on my second car..

I literally just want a caddy though to be honest as insurance will just rape me...

Maybe more thought is needed before buying a car or maybe owning multiple cars which do different jobs?

You've had the wrong cars my friend. Sounds like you're looking for a mk1 golf. Apart from the reliability, but you'll love it so much that you'll see past it

I was the same in my first 3 years of driving, had just under 30 cars (not all of them on the road tho). I think it was just the buzz of buying some thing that I liked. I've managed to calm it down now tho and although I do still get the urge from time to time to just chuck my car up for sale and buy some thing random, I normally manage to see sense before actually buying something... Normally. The fact I own a chevette is proof that I haven't quite got the urges under control just yet

I'm the same. I blame a short attention span. Generally by the time I've bought something and mended it I'm bored of it and I've bought something else

I also blame attention span, I literally havnt got one.

I will add tho Jordan fill your boots while you still can. Life getting serious might take the option to switch cars at random away from you so get through as many cars as you can because you will miss it when you can no longer do it. Own as many of the cars you like as possible because then all you can ever regret is getting rid of them rather than not getting one while you had the chance, which I'd imagine is much worse

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm hitting the stage where ADHD becomes early onset Alzheimers. Half the time I can't remember what I was doing, but I know I was bored of it.

I also blame attention span, I literally havnt got one.

Same here

Jord make sure you try a mk2 golf 16v before all the cheap ones get broken

Glad to see I'm not alone. I did want a mk2 golf before I bought the mk3 golf. I like to be different from my mates that's why I went mk3 but the day I bought it a mate bought one too haha. I need to find that perfect car! Wil probably always stay German though, have thought about jap but at this age it's pointless!

I change my car every week... but not my own. Coming up to 12 years in March!

All the cheap ones were broken a long time ago :-(

Then whenever you're bored just change the wheels, that's what I've been doing

Mk1 golf is my favourite car, for this reason I would rather wait until I have a few more years no claims so I can get a gti. I would feel like something is missing of I bought a smaller engined one.

since getting rid of the 6n2 i have yet to found my true love again :(

Been driving 22 months, had 7 cars.

 84 cars later and i'm thinking of selling my merc after 2 months (long for me) the bora is the only car i've ever retaxed and i never put a years on them.

i just always fancy something different, very different. i went from a golf rallye to a 1.0 arosa, another time i went from an R32 to a mk3 golf gti in camo green, then b6 a4 1.8T to diesel astra van

just coming up to 29 and had 90 odd cars. i was excatly the same with cars but had a lupo tdi as a stop gap and fell for it big time keeped it 2 years and only sold due to family growth. it had cool looks, cheap to run and always turned head's still miss it now. its about finding what you feel suits you and your life style

I'm the same to an extent. I always need to have a project on the go - usually something I pick upfor very cheap but that has potential to be restored/converted. As for my daily, I've had the same 6n2 since I passed - might be upgrading this weekend tho!

I'm the same, although not as bad as some of you. I've had 6 in 2 1/2 years.

I bought myself a t4 in august and just sold that and bought a 195bhp ibiza cupra which I'm finding really fun at the moment, really hope it doesnt wear off as its such a good little car. I suppose 230bhp is easy enough to get from it when i start to get bored.

25 cars in just under 10 years of driving, still own 5 1/2 of them!

Theres a buzz about buying a new car and having something new to tinker with. Probably why the car I've owned the longest now (my Mk1 Polo) has sat for the longest waiting to be finished.

Having a standard car with a bit of poke makes all the difference! I do wonder what life would be like if I'd concerted all my efforts into 1 car!

I know the feeling.... Currently debating mk2 caddy vans....

I had 5 or 6 cars in the space of a year, calmed down a bit now. Only bought 3 last year.

Want a 924 or 944 at the moment!
