I've had close to 30 cars since I started driving in 2005.

I love the excitement of getting a new car, sometimes think I'm addicted.

Currently in possession of 5 cars and I'm always looking out for another one.

The G40 is the only car I've kept for over a year, had it almost 3 now.

iv had 39 cars in 4 years, all dailys. Looking for the 40th now.

Feel like I'm slacking, I'm only on my fourth it three years. Can't bring myself to get rid of mine though, I know no matter what I sell it for, g40, something rwd and jap etc, nothing would compare to it

I'm the same. I get bored too easy and like to change cars. Its nice having a new car. Something different.

But now I've got the Polo GTi I'm happy enough with it and is perfect for what i need. I think to keep me from changing it, i will just start to change parts like get some more sets of wheels etc.

Jord make sure you try a mk2 golf 16v before all the cheap ones get broken

Not all of them, bought my 16v July last year for £330 off ebay and it hasn't moved haha

Not sure whether to get an early 924 and drop an audi 5 cyl in there or get a 924S/944 with the 2.5 porsche engine and just leave it at that. Pretty sure the audi 5 pot will sound better...

I'm the same, my first car i really like (it was a 205 but hey it was my first car) and that lasted years until it got t-boned by a bellend in a Subaru.

Since then I have pretty much got bored of every other car I have owned apart from the only ever car I had from brand new (Fabia 1.2 TSi Estate) but that was a replacement for a vRS i had that lunched two engines and even that had a problem with its brakes. TBH, if I hadnt felt soo let down at that point (and had I know the dealership I got both cars from would get the Skoda franchise taken off then a few months) I would have taken it to another dealership to try and get the brake issue sorted.

Its a runner with mint interior but the underside does need welding. All in all much better then having an extra £400 (I have bought some parts) in the bank.

I have been driving two and a half years and I have bought 3 cars, all of which I still own lol.

Compared to you guys though, looks like am going to have to start swapping my car more often.

The most Fun was the FTO, Keeping up with played with g40s was fun, sounded awsome, but i kissed a kerb at 5mph avoiding a car pulling out of a space and snapped the steering arm, mk3 polo arms are thicker , guy came over and said his apoligies and offered to pay, but I bought it for £200 so i scrapped it for more, win

Easy...I don't.

Cars have always been the top priority when it comes to spending my money....simply because without a car I cannot function.

buy and sell is the key, the only car I've payed for out of my own money was the GT bready at £750 iirc.

It's Just about being a bit of an Arthur Daley

For example I bought the mk1 gti for £150 with no tax and test, sold the p slots off it for £140 then swapped the car for a mk2 16v with tax and test. Thrashed that around for a bit then swapped it for the mk3 vr6, hated that so sold it for £750 and bought my first scirocco. I've picked up 16v golfs for almost pennies and I've picked up polo for nothing... 3 of them infact

All about the bargains. My virtually minted E39 5 series was £200 and only needed the rear brakes sorted and a power steering leak sorted for the MOT. Ran it for 6 months until too many burnouts and reverse to firsts and rev limiter launches destroyed the autobox. Shouldn't really have removed the lockout function haha. My list in order:

I've also been using a Mk3 Mondeo dizzle for the last couple of months. It's horrible but possibly one of the best handling cars I've driven.

For my next daily I want either a properly tidy Mk3 VR6 or an E36 M3 saloon. Totally different cars but both have their merits.
