i am Joan, 30 years old and i live in the neighbourhood of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

I own an '81 Polo 1F GT with an 1.3 8V engine (MH) and i wanted some more power so i bought an 1.4 16V (AFH) Polo 6N engine.

After a closer look i found some water marks on the pistons so the cylinderhead came off and the whole engine needs to be overhauled.

So all the parts are ordered and the cylinder block has to be drilled for my new oversized pistons.

By the way, the car will be running on Honda Blackbird 42mm carbs. The manifold will be drawn and then made by a CNC cutter machine which have in the work shop off my boss. It will be made that the original gaskets can be used.

I'd say 42mm throttles are far too big for a 1400cc engine, they'll have next to no signal at low-medium revs giving poor fuel mixing.

Go for something smaller if you want the most from it!
