6n or 6n2 rear door cards for speakers

Featured Replies

Basically I'm making a sub box for my car and fitting speakers into the rear aswell. Gonna get some new door cards for the back (3 door) and cut holes in them to mount speakers onto. But what I was wondering is which would be better to be mounting speakers to? Are the 6n ones wider allowin for more room behind? Or is it the other way around? I can quite easily get 6n2 cards of eBay as there seem to be loads on there but no 6n 16v ones

Cheers

Also I think the 6n2 gti's have rear speakers already in but how do these attach to the car?

any high spec 6n2 has them. so 16v (Not SE) GTI and TDI have them.

Wish I got a 6n2 :( got everything I want already on

I sacrificed mileage for toys, got six speakers as standard, air con, 15 inch wheels, 256mm brakes night blue and red backlighting, comfy seats and plenty more but mine had 128k on the clock now its on 143k and I'm still happy with it.

anyone know how the rear speakers attach on the 6n2's?

Yeah my 6n2 has speaker plates for rear speakers, 1.4 SE. I was going to use MDF with a hole cut out for the speaker and attach it to behind the rear door card on my 6n.

Like that but instead of the black metal plate some mdf.

Has anybody managed to successfully create a speaker set-up for the rear doors of a 5-door 6n?

I'm an owner of a Polo 6n2 from Malta, and here you can find all the parts you need for the 6n. For the 6n2 the most you can do is find a scrapped one and take parts from it cause you won't find anything for them here!

I'm also thinking of putting 2 speakers on my 5 door 6n2 however I don't know whether where am I gonna place them... Either on the shelf or in the back doors...

Check my build thread I fitted them to mine, fuck knows what page.

Just use GTI rear speaker supports

Edit: it's on page 3
