Polo 1.6 8v glx with aircon the lot!

pretty standard exterior. apart from the Rust :(

interior is also pretty standard apart from the Mould Ewww!!

So one day i was browsing clubpolo for a sneaky car project and came across a lad selling a 1.6 glx that he wanted rid of asap so i gave him a ring and snapped the deal up couple of days later we went to fetch it and first thoughts was jeeez what a mess this car hadn't been looked after.( what a shame) so as soon as i got it home work began. when i bought the car i was told there was a fuel pump problem but after a bit of ticker with it i found out there was no positive to the fuel pump so i wired a positive to it just to see if we could get the pump working and some fresh fuel in the tank and she fired first turn of the key.. paid £200 for the car and really think i have got a bargain even know there's a lot of work to be done! LETS GET CRACKING!!

quick update. 16v wheels now sold just for abit of cash. new winter wheels bought. some oz rims with some dish. 15x7 so not to bad only paid 70 for them. pics of them soon :)

alot of parts bought of a good friend of mine who has decided to scrap his car :( poor polo. but I'm in the win with all his parts for £60 including the angel eyes,smoked rear lights,16v rear bumper,gas struts for bonnet, roof lining wrapped in pac man,badgeless grill and ripspeed dashboard speakers. BONUS!!!

finally my beautiful bonnet gets to come back off my bedroom wall now that i have a polo again for her to go on . cannot wait to see what she looks like on a black polo :)

my new winter wheels . gotta be refurbed and I'm thinking Beige with a beige roof aswell not sure on that 1 yet. there some OZ wheels a little chavvy but will do for now if i get them sat nice i will be happy for abit.. it does sit like a monster truck with the standard suspension tho :(

not really anything going off at the moment its in the garage having all the underneath wax oiled and under sealed. but I've just got a mates mk2 golf in and I've gotta get the work done on that so works stopped on the Polo at the moment as his motors more important than mine and i need the cash. hopefully there will be updates soon keep your eyes on this build thread :)

rocker cover looked rubbish so did a little pearl spray can job just to neaten it up

i hate rust so the underneath got a overhaul!!

then gave the engine bay a clean and distributor a lick of black paint.

then my last update for now. as she has to come out of the garage so i can start chopping up a mates mk2 golf. i had to put my bonnet on as i couldn't just leave it sat in my bedroom. so a few little snap shots of what she looks like so far. next update wheels refurbed. anyone got any colour suggestions??

its coming along nicely i think. just having problems now with making a decision as i bought a mk2 caddy van about a month agao and I've rebuilt alot of it and i really do like it but i love my polo aswell and i just cant decide which one to sell and which one to keep. so un happy because i cant keep both :(

ok so the polo hasn't rwally had much done until i sold my old polo last weekend and i went crazy on ebay buying things . so a few updates of whats gone off. enjoyy!!
