i was an idiot and sold my mk2 gt, rolled around in a mk2 caddy, then a 6n, then a mk4 golf.... none of them compare to an old polo, so i was desperate to sell the golf and fine an old polo of some kind, then this little puppy popped up on my local volkswagen forum:

i was happy to hand over the cash, got in the car and drove home, wasn't far....bout an hour or so, the spring in the gear selector had gone so finding 1st gear was a mission -.-

i ran like shite (early engine + solex carb yay :/ )

interior seen better days and paint was faded to fook! boot paint's a goner (cracked and faded to pink) and a patch on the roof....

everything that was meant to be black was light grey and the engine bay was a state -_-

was lowered 40mm on some 14" vw steels and balloon tyres, windows covered in stickers and headlights tinted yellow....all these things are not to my taste but she had potential, so....

lowered it a bit and put her on 13" steelies for a bit, gave it a 2 and a half hour mopping session to get the paint back up shiney :) , heat gun on the arch kit and she looked like this...

last but not least, new wheels, stickers gone and grille blacked (from very grey)

still much to do but for now it looks o.k i think :)

cheers mate! yeh it probably was, the lass who had it for sale had it on tidyvag.co.uk which is where i found it, she lives in weymouth so it would be a probability it was on swdubs :)

yeh that's the one, it looked alot shitter in person when i got there, paint had faded to fook, 2 hours of mopping later and she was red again! And some heat gun on the black bits, and no i wont be near norfolk sorry man :(
