bought a polo to restore on top of my polo. the drivers door doesn't open very well, the lock works perfectly but requires a push before itll release out of its catch and open. any ideas how to fix?

Sorry my bad I was in a bit of a rush when I wrote the post. Its a mk3 1L CL. J reg. the door is free from rust and dents so there's no reason it should be misaligned in my opinion.
