Bought this back in November last year after I got rid of my 6n2. The gearbox was going for the second time in 6 months and I really didn't want the hassle of doing the box again. So I was on the lookout for something to keep standard. In the end after testing Renault's and fast Ford's I decided VW still had a certain quality over it. So anyway, far too much money later I came home with this.

The idea was that I kept it standard but ten minutes after i got it home in was browsing forums looking at some sikk modded GTI's. I've decided i'm going to head for the power/handling route over looks. This doesn't mean the outside will remain boring and standard though.

First thing I did though was to do some carbon wrapping on the interior.

Then some bits fro the USA arrived

I got the front plate holder fitted last weekend and got round to doing the rear bumper today

The only bad news is that the bumper's the wrong shade of black so i've now got to get it sprayed up. Also got to get the proper GTI lower half as the standard one it came with doesn't hang low enough to cover the exhaust properly

So that's it for the minute. My next plans are really to get it dropped about 30-40mm and get some bigger wheel on it as the 17's look silly. oh, and to try and actually do something about improving performance haha. All comment welcome :-)

I upgraded from a polo to the mk5 i went for a 1.9 tdi derv tho. Decent motor I'm going for a remap soon i do love the front plate looks awesome m8.
