I cant afford Mk3 coilovers..

I only need the rears, I'm just wondering what one would be best?

I am looking for a 60mm drop.

Mk1 golf - 180 german ebay

Mk2 golf - 185 german ebay

6n - 100-200 uk/de ebay

6n2 - 100-200 ebay

ibzia mk3 - 20-40 forum

So i need a final decision i need this finished!

6n coilies wont work.

they will fit as i have them on mine, however even at there highest there much more than a 60mm drop! f your going lower id reccomend them though.

also i hear that mk2 golf coilovers are too long for a polo but this needs to be proved..

mk2 golf weighs more than a mk2f so it would feel awfully hard

If your looking for a 60mm drop then why not just get 60mm shocks and springs? most rears are adjustable anyway

6n rear coiles do work, they are the same as mk1 golf rears.

Mk1 golf rears should be easier to get on their own because the caddy boys can only use the front and it actually works out quit a lot dearer to by fronts and rears separately. if you want just rears you ideally want to find a mate with a caddy who wants fronts and buy a whole set then split the cost

Yeah but yours is running spacers to jack them up like my mk1's are

Ben that's how mine is in the second pic

It's basically extending the shock by 1.5" on mine. Yours will be there for the same reason seems as they were fitted to a mk2 golf before which uses liner shocks. This is why I think that mk2 golf rear would be more suitable length wise

No matter which side of the top alloy plate you put that spacer its still going to lift the shock what ever the length of the spacer compared to if it wasn't there
