I've got a 1.0 mk3 polo.Just failed MOT due to my rear fuel pump leaking. Aparently its been discontinued by VW, anyone know where i can get one or if one off another polo would fit?

It might be worth getting under and having a look to check it is actually the pump leaking or the pipework/filter/swirl pot? The pump might still be available from a Bosch stockist, or get one from a scrapyard or someone that's breaking a car on here.

The casing on mine had corroded (where the aluminium casing rests against the steel bracket). New ones are available from GSF but they're eye wateringly extensive.....

The one which I got, genuine Bosch from GSF, had a different male connector on the pump to the female connector on the car. I don't know if it was just mine, but it stopped the replacement from being a simple plug-and-play operation.

Usually the mounting bracket rusts and as it expands eats into the soft aluminium shell of the pump. Often they can be repaired:
