hi my names Conor I'm 17 passed my test about 4 months ago i work in a tyre and exhaust fitting garage part time and I'm training to be a vehicle technician at city of bristol college and this is my first time using any kind of forum so go easy on me :)

Exterior Styling: standard

Interior Styling: standard

ICE and Security: fli 10 inch 800watt active sub and kewnwood headunit

Comments: bought this car about a month ago after owning a fiat seicento as my very first car and a classic mini not long after but I've always loved the dubs and nothing else was good enough :)

bought her for £500 with 87k on the clock, mot and taxed, cam belt recently done along with water pump and pulleys

the body work is pretty poor and has a lot of lacquer peel and a lot of dents, scrapes and scratches

so my aim is to get her sprayed up and slammed to the ground on some g60's

what I've done so far

- dewipered boot

- debaged boot

- 8ball door pins :)

- and had a go at keeping the rust on my doors getting any worse :( its not going well rust is already showing through.

to do list

- pressed plates

- coilovers

- repray if i can get the money

- g60's

- clear indicators

- smoked rear lights

- sportex exhaust

- strut brace

- k&n pannel filter

just after i bought it stopped off in halfords for some grommets to dewiper [/img]

ordered some stickers, debaged grill and some air freshners the other night and the debaged front grill came today

then me n my mate decided to spray the badge that was in the old grill pink and it didnt go so well so i decided to hang it on the tow hook XD

thats it soo far... ill take a pic when i get the stickers on

Cheers buddy, paint is a little bit faded behind where the badges used to be but I'm sure a bit of g3 or t-cut will sort that out

My dodgy primer job to stop it rusting isnt working too well :/ should i leave it and just slam it or get her sprayed n then in a few months lower it?

Also I've got a problem with my idle speed :/ when my cars warmed up and i put the clutch down and brake for traffic the rev's drop right down and it sounds like its about to cut out? does anyone know what this could be? I've tried resetting the ecu already.

I'd just slam it for now mate, you need to perfect the stance first before sorting body work IMO

next: try get some pressed plates and some aero wiper blades :) might spray the steelies cream with a black centre dont know though

haven't updated my forum in a while but I've bought some baby g60's off ebay for £30 which i was pretty chuffed about cus the tyres were all good and i whacked them straight on when i got to work

i decided to sand down and spray my standard vw steelies because the baby 60's were rubbing and made my car look not as low

i used gloss black that i got from halfords and it came out a treat even with no primer

finally got round to putting them on my car

i put the standard caps back on and reckon they look pretty sick

That really is the best thing for the standard steels, other than banding them of course.

cut the middle box out of my exhaust last weekend and it sounds awesome pretty much straight through cus the baffle in the back box fell out haha
