Not a gt, but won't look too much different. You'll have more wires if you stick with the mpi. Check the thread about coupe engine bays. Few pics in there

I like ^^^ Think its the 1.6 8v you've used,

I've read your build thread but forgot haha ..

What power you hoping for ??

if you want to see a mint show bay search for spen and have a look at his loon

Aye, 1.6 8v, engine code aea. Slightly higher comp ratio than the aee. I was hoping for around the 120 mark tops, but looking at harris' build, that may be a little ambitious. So hoping for g40 power, but with more torque

Mines broken ;)

Its all about the 8v units, so much more classy and period 8-)

far from the quality of the other

I do like the grunty little 8v engines, was going to tune mine but headgasket went, i've fixed it now but I'm hoping to start collecting the bits for 16v conversion and put it in between from when my insurance runs out and my birthday ( dec-feb lol ) .. Seems the cheaper option, max will hate me but a 16v on bike carbs is around 120Bhp straight away tbf ..

16v is better lol end of

It's a work in progress...

you usually don't see much of the engine block.

No question about them being a superior engine.

But i know how to get decent figures from them, and don't just give up. ;)

Ben, you don't know what you want :lol::lol:

Oh yeah I know, 8v is a challenge and not just another valver with the same bits bolted on haha

not mine!

What mine looks like atm . Soon to have carbs .

Then hopefully going to build a 16v unit with minor bit of headwork by the end of the year and use it on the carbs .

Edit.. now tinkering with the idea of standerd injection .. arhgggg . wish i had the knoledge for itb's :( lol
