I currently own a 1.0 6N2 I'vw been happy with it and still am but I really lack a we bit of power. I would love to sell my 1.0 and buy a 1.4 6n2 but I am very scared that these engines can be prone to burning oil. Anyone have any facts about these 1.4 8v MPI engines do they burn oil etc. ? as I have seen personally and heard huge problems with 1.4 16v in MK4 golfs. The 1.0 MPI do not burn oil at all but they really are sluggish I am not asking for gti power but a 1.4 with a nice intake and exhaust would do if these engines are as reliable as 1.0. Please shine some light on this thanks you in advance.

i'd stick to the 1.0 but if you want to upgrade go for a 16v or a tdi. tbh don't bother with a 1.4 8v

ten horse difference between 1.0 and 1.4 go 16v and double the power.
