someone tell him how to adjusted it :p

i need to know how so i can lower mine :p

why do you need to raise the ldle, all it would do is increase your fuel consumption.

there is no way to adjust the idle speed on a 6n2 as it is controlled by the ecu.

Mines a 6n which I'm guessing is ECU again, but can it be mapped to be lower?

my mates old mk3 idled about 750-800 n it just sounded so perfect, mines currently just under 1k so just want to knock it down a tiny bit

is there any way to to tune the the ECU higher?

vagcom?

i want it higher for a higher alternator rpm for a higher amperage out put

i recently had a custom made alternator made for the 6n2 but its rpm turn on is just below idle if i could raise it a bit that would be perfect.

so theres absolutely no way?

so theres absolutely no way?

Just found this, you will need a fully licensed copy of vagcom/vcds

01-Engine:

VCDS works well with all engines available in the U.S. and most engines that users have tested in overseas markets.

Idle Speed Adaptation (may not work with APH engines, see your Repair Manual):

With engine warmed up, at idle:

[select]

[01 engine]

[Adaptation - 10]

Enter channel 01 (Channel 02 for TDI engines)

Enter an adaptation value between 124 and 132

[save]

The actual idle values and range of adjustment will depend on the specific characteristics of the engine and ECU.
