Can of black paint and an hour or two.

Remove the lights from the car, heat them up remove the front lens, unscrew the surround, sand them down a little, then paint them. For the indicators same process, only you have to mask off the back ( as in the picture the back of the lights are still silver) then paint them. A bit more heat to seal them up and then refit.

Thank my lights are extremely yellow so I will be buying a set of new ones form ebay and hopefully if i can get them split without breaking them i will do what u said. I suppose heat resistant paint has to be used.

Not really, normal black, either Matt, satin or glos (up to you) you could use a primer if you wanted, this will make it less likely to crack, and you could also use a clear coat.

The polo lights IMO are really easy to open, I have open my passengers side one today and it took me less then ten minutes. I used a paint stripper heat gun.

Thanks a lot! I hope this wont have any negative effect with the MOT crowd.
