As in title they any good? What's best engine to go for? And what's the bad points on these cars.... Maybe look into buying one in the near future :)

You can fit preety much any vtec engine to any Civic/Integra/accord etc lol :)

Mate had a 1.5 gl civic. When he made a type r rep pretty much and it was gorgeous and quite nippy too, he just sold it for like £550 on eBay, and te bloke said he only wanted it to go fishing in haha. Personally if I was to ever go jap I wouldn't fanny about with a small engined one. 200sx or skyline r32 gtr YO!

My mates just fished 2 k20a conversions (typre R engines ) one in a teg and one in a coupe ..

He wouldnt even sell the mounts for 500 lmao

i have a mate who's owned two civics. and steve's right here.

stick to german cars bro. VTEC's are all good, but they have no power til they hit VTEC revs. the insides of civic's are terrible too, have you felt how 'plasitcy' and shit some of these jap cars are. my god its shameful.

plus, honda's get slated for their lack of power. if you're going jap thats your choice but steer clear of honda really.. civic will always be known as one of those cars for young blokes trying to be in the jap seen but not quite made it.

S14's are the car to have but not for me yet! Maybe in 2years when insurance maybe abit more reasonable :) but I'm 21 with 3yrs NCB and 3yrs driving experience :)

Then it should be fine for you! goes down loads when you 21....i 21 now and can get quotes for silly cars like R32's for less than 1k.

I was 21 when I renewed my insurance in november and still paying 1,600 on my polo! That was with 2yrs ncb
