ok i gots a problem i need 4 new tyres for a 14" wheel, buttt i need them to fit in the arches of my 6n2, the wheels are bmw E30 wheels, 14 x 6.5 and i need quite a low profile if anyone can give me advice on this subject it would be very much appriciated becaus atm I'm ona f****ng space saver, its a long story but i need fast responses,

i've got 185/55/R14 on mine, slightly higher ET but I am slammed with no rubbing at all.

IMO you could use 165/55 for stretch, but expect to pay for them!

175/50

185/55/14 on mine dude!!!

155 55 14s on mine . only becuase they were cheap as chips and couldnt find another set in 14s

185/55-14's would be like balloons on a 6.5" rim

Best make sure he can actually get them first mate. Most places I went said I must of writen the size down wrong. Only place I found that had them was a place in Germany, at least I think it was Germany because I couldn't read the location

Problem with this size is the main maker that produced that size burnt down. Hopefully you have more luck than me tho

yeah I've seen a few makes, Nankang, Toyo, unisport andddddd i think bridgestone did one that size :L

195/45/14's aren't really that rare I swear haha. Camskill always have them in stock for at least one of the brands and the falkens are like 45 quid a corner from there

On 6.5s I would personaly go for 155 55 14 I have these on my 8s crazy stretch. Dan

i have 155 on my original steelies and they are thin as hell :L

155/55 front 165/55 rears. I have some brand new for sale as it happens

Tyres should be no more than 2.5% different in diameter from standard or you can mess up your suspension geometry and speedometer.

Standard is 185/55-14 as far as I am aware

195/45-14 is 5% smaller so not a good idea

195/50-14 is 1.43% smaller so ok

On 6.5s I would personaly go for 155 55 14 I have these on my 8s crazy stretch. Dan

155/55-14 is 5.9% smaller and because of the stretch even a little smaller than that so again not a good idea

Try any of the following for a similar diameter to standard; size then %different to standard

155/65-14 -0.36%

165/60-14 -0.89%

175/60-14 1.25%

195/55-14 1.97%

195/50-14 -1.43%

205/50-14 0.36%

If you have 15" rims

165/55-15 0.54%

175/50-15 -0.54%

185/50-15 1.25%

195/45-15 -0.54%

So by your calculations me running a 185/45 on a 15 x 8 or a 165/50 on a 15 x 8 is a very bad idea

BY my calculations .. It doesnt matter as it stops me from getting flashed as my speedo reads over lmao

the above is technically correct, but my loon had 175/70/13's when I bought it, I'm not running 175/50/14's on 8J wheels with no issues.

If the rolling radius is smaller than originals, It will make the car read faster than its actually going. Its when you oversize that issues with the speedo and such become a problem.

wait wait wait now so if you have a bigger rolling radius you speedo would under read because at the moment when it says on my spedo its doing 30 but i know for a fact that its doing 27.
