what is it with these insurance company,s and the somewhat crazy sums they are asking young drivers for glad i dont have to face these sort of quotes

Try www.goodgirl.co.uk, They should cover men and women now (Think it's the law). They were pretty cheap compared to most places for me, I'm 18 and paying £1,700 for my polo 1.4 16v with 1 years no claims, which was cheaper by thousands compared to most companies.

this may sound odd but try modding your car but not performance wise but wheels, stickers, towbar etc and you might find you get lower quotes.

declaring a few mods brought insurance on my 407 down to £810 from 1450! with business use

didnt happen for me :\ adding coilies put mine up £150, they are going all the way down so cant exactly say its been done to improve performance :lol:

Adrian flux and they have been unbeatable whenever i've had a modified car but i found they are not competitive on on unmodified cars they wouldn't even insure my mk3! :lol:

most insurers run a mile if you have a modified car anyway! :lol:

they dont run a mile mate ;) mine went up an extra 160 quid which i dont think is too bad for a young driver who only just passed :) n thats with them wound all the way down
