Hi all slight problem with my wiper fluid tank (i think) it seems to be a leak coming from just above my passenger side front wheel. The liquid doesn't smell so know its nothing nasty.

Is the washer fluid tank the only thing in that area to leak? Would it be hard to replace myself as its under battery and looks expensive labour for q garage

The only other thing in that area (If its like my 9n) is the power steering pump! but that has a green liquid in it. The bottle can be sealed if its not that bad or replace the bottle. I'd go for a repair as I did with my 9n Polo...

power stering seems fine when driving the liquid is clear and water like =]

may get in contact with a breakers see if they have the bottle =]

Newer polos tend to pop the washer hoses off.... my 9n did if i didn't have enough screen wash and it was cold, just get the bumper off and you'll see it if its that :)

I take it your washers dont work??

Similar problem here. My front washers work, but when I try to do the rear, liquid just leaks out from somewhere in the bay, leaving a puddle. Sounds like the pipe may have come off?

The pipe has blown off in the boot most prob!.... Thats what happened to mine

I will have a look tomorrow my wipers work thought it could be a crack so far up the bottle as it does work anbut not keeping as much pressure. How do I get the bumper off easily?

Found this to be the reason my rear wiper didn't spray and the car smelled of screenwash!

Great design as it was leaking all over the plugs below it..

The leak seems to be coming from the engine bay, will have a look this afternoon see what I can see :)

You'd think that a marque like VW would had a securing clip on it to stop this happening!... When my car new and still under warranty I took it in and I was told they wouldn't fix it as it blew off because I was trying to use it in cold weather! so I argued the point an they sorted it out! but said they wouldn't do it again if it happened!... I answered... See you next time it happens then and I expect it to be fixed as this is a design fault and not a customer issue! Bloody main Stealers piss me off sometimes, they're great when they're taking your money off you! but dont wanna know (In most cases) when it suits them!...
