bmw compact up for sale or swaps

Featured Replies

hi all i have a bmw e36 compact up for swaps i really dont want to do it cos the car has been great i am just doing far too many miles per day to run it and I'm on a really bad wage so cant afford to keep it :(.

spec:

bmw e36 1.6 8v compact

1998 on an R reg

Power steering, abs, drivers airbag, electric windows, central locking.

montrial blue

157000 on the clock but the engine never skips a beat its an amazing runner

part service history

loads of recipts

mot feb 2013

tax end of march 2012

good points:

engine has just had a full personal service, new plugs, oil and air filters, oil,

front disks and pads were changed about 1 month ago

rear handbrake shoes changed 2 weeks ago

both rear backplates renewed 2 weeks ago

n/s bottom ball joint changed end of last year

drivers track rod end changed last year (also have the passenger side one as a spare i bought it to replace it but the one thats on it is perfectly fine)

tyres were changer about 500 miles ago so loads of tread left on them

brand new backbox fitted last week

alternator changed beginning of this year

wiper motor changer beginning of this year

drivers and passengers window motor changed end of last year

bad points:

drivers wing has rusted quite badly although i have a replacement to go onto the car

boot lifters are a bit tempramental to hole the tailgate up

paintwork isnt in the best of conditions could benifit from a respray

modifications

m-tec front and back seats (drivers seat has a hole in the bolster)

m3 rear bumper( painted green as i was going to get a full respray)

m3 boot spoiler ( painted green as i was going to get a full respray)

m3 tail lights

painted black front grill

front foglights (not had time to wire them up yet)

clear front indicators

clear side repeaters

i have done alot to this car and it runs like its new only downfall is the bodywork that was my next thing to get done but i simply cant afford it

i would be looking to swap for a mk3 polo gt or a mk4 polo preferably but open to others

if you have any other questions please dont hesitate to ask me

here is a few most recent photos of it i will get fresh ones in the morning and post them up

hi m8 just seen you are advert on gumtree sorry but I'm too far away from you and I'm ideally looking for a smaller engine as i cant afford to run the beemer

Hiya mate, you replied to my swap post for my Polo 1.3 gt. I would be interested in your bmw, have to think about it a bit though.

Hiya mate, you replied to my swap post for my Polo 1.3 gt. I would be interested in your bmw, have to think about it a bit though.

a mk3 polo was my first car and i miss it haha i just want to own one again to bring back the memories :) and yours is a perfect example of what i was looking for as its the gt my old one was just the 1.3 spi,

i can assure you that there has been alot of time and certainly alot of money recenly put into the bmw I've never had a car that runs so well and i know the milage is a bit high but honestly it runs like a wee sweetie :)

would be sad to let the beemer go but like i said I'm covering alot of miles at the moment and i need something with a smaller engine haha

i live in the west of scotland but i travel down south quite alot to visit family so collection or a meet will not be a problem thanks for replying :)
