I've been thinking about getting a project car to give me something to do and i've decided it's either going to be a MK2 Fiesta or a Polo Coupe. But i'm not sure how old the car has to be to qualify for classic insurance. I've looked at some 'normal' insurance quotes and they want about £800 fully comp and i'm not paying that for a second car. So does anyone know what the cut off year is??

There is no definitive age, classic insurance is more about you than the age of the vehicle, eg usually it needs to be a second car, limited mileage, garaged, no or few mods etc
