hi people, just a quick one, if my insurance got cancelled, due to no proof of no claims, would i have to pay a fee or anything? i only started the policy last month, so what would normally happen?

sorry, dunno what pro-rata means is that where id cover the costs of the first month? and the majority of this month will get refunded? cheers

you'll be liable to pay for the amount of days you were covered, they will work it out from the annual premium and let you know what you owe, and should refund you any difference (is there is any) or request more.

whether or not you will be liable to any admin fee or cancellation fee, regardless of them cancelling, I'm not sure.

do you not have the NCB? id seriously try and get around them cancelling it and I'm sure that counts as refusal for an insurer to cover you, which iirc you have to declare when taking out a policy.

cheers for the help mate, ill have to have a look and see if the details can be found i suppose, but i can get a cheaper quote now anyway so cancelling it may work out better. ill have to see about new quotes. cheers

it got cancelled in the end by the way, wasnt too fussed because it saves me on cancellation fees haha. also i dont currently have a car to drive anyway since i was selling the car that was insured anyway and the polo doesent have mot or tax

Eric your problem is now that you have to declare you have had insurance cancelled mate which is gunna bump up your premiums and they will more than likely find out as you will be put onto a black list So you've sorta done yourself in abit there man you should have cancelled it yourself saved a lot of hassle and money in the long run

Yerp stinkypete is correct :) you will know have to declare that you had your policy terminated not helped yourself there ....
