Getting More Lows?

Featured Replies

My sump has a few dents in it but the subframe takes most of the abuse

Its the sump nut itself that sits the lowest and that bit is somehow fine. lol

I'm on 70mm springs all round but 2 coils cut on the front. Would appear that one of my drive shafts is touching or has been making contact with the chassis :?

Surely coilovers wound that low will still ride just as harsh and still have tca + driveshaft clearance issues.

My sump does have a big grind in it from hitting a speed bump at 30 mph on un cut 70mm springs, would be safe to say that was my fault

The tca's have a tendency to hit the inner wing, this is where a hammer and chisel come into play

Icant afford coilovers to be honest.

seen and heard of mk1 golf coilovers? Any info on them?

you can only use the rears. they are a lot shorter and even wound to their max they're low. they require a little work to fit too.

You can use the fronts..... You just need to know how. Not a simple job and is best left to the experts :-)

I'm perfectly capable of doing any work needed to fit them I'm a mechanic by trade so no trouble there just interested in exactly what needs doing to see if i can be arsed lol

lots and lots of sand bags :ninja:
