Hey! Just got my 1.0 6N2 today, not bad for £800. She needs a few things here and there, I've ordered a new drivers side wing mirror and centre bumper grill.

Loads more plans, will get started as soon as my funds let me.

I really think they suit bathurts - thats the lupo GTI alloys, I've got them on my 6n2, got some pictures up on this forum if you wanna check them out :-)

Tried on my ATS Cups with stretched tyres today, They are in need of some re-furb and she needs to be a lot lower! I'll stick to steelies for a little while longer. Also got my new drivers side wing mirror on, Its the same colour which is good but the wrong size! Left is stubby, Right is normal. Ahh well, They will do for now.

Need to get some coilies now!

Does anybody know where I can get some centre caps for these ATS Cups, Any ones that will fit will do, doesn't have to be ATS ones.

Measure the hole and check eBay mate can get loads of centre caps on there.

All 6n2s have a stubby passenger mirror and lhd have the opposite but son people have bought stubbies for drivers side too

I'm pretty sure they are the correct size, Please tell me if I'm wrong.

and ahh ok, well the old drivers side one was stubby, and now the electrics dont connect up but I will sort that out another day, just have to adjust them by hand for now

and I'm going to get a complete re-furb, sandblast them and get the black detailing put on them, I got them from some guy who was breaking a 6n. They have some quite nasty curb marks and a bit of lacquer peel but I cant complain, I got them including streched tyres and locking wheel nuts delivered to my house for £300, Not bad I think.

So I think I'm going to wait untill I get some coilies before I put them on, That will give me time to get them all spick and span again :-D

Does anybody know a good place near South Wales where I can get these wheels refurbished relatively cheap? money is an issue at the moment

Stickerbombed my doorhandles today, They were all scratched and what not, I think they look pretty sweet!

Sony stereo with AUX input that came with the car, Really chuffed with it! It doesn't look out of place either, I don't have to buy one myself now! :)

HELP!

Handbrake and ABS warning lights were on all the way home today, Also the Battery light flashed on a couple times, No idea why. Turned it off and back on again when I stopped and they were off

Can any one help me with this?

On a lighter note I got this today, My original Wunder-Baum "Darkness", Smell lovely and looks awesome

Battery died on the way home today, Had to get my Dad and his T4 "Betsy" to come and rescue me! All is fine now, got a new battery, the other one was old as hell, the car had been sitting on the drive doing nothing for ages before I got it. Nice new one now and it has also fixed my warning light problems and my lazy rear window wiper! :)

Also ordered a new clutch as its pretty much dead, Biting point is millimetres away from not even touching the pedal and it slips every now and then, Should be sorted soon!

AHHH!!! Car died again on the way home today, 4 times! apparently its not the battery, so I wasted £40 yesterday!

It just cuts out, loses all power, handbrake, ABS and air bag lights come on, loud beeping noise. then nothing, wont start, wont even turn over, nothing! :(

Happens when I take my foot off the accelerator and apply the brakes.

And it wont start again without the aid of jump leads!

Had to leave it in Abergavenny (Town down the road from me), It wasn't going to get home without stopping another load of times probably. So I parked it up safe and I'm going to pick it up in the morning and take it to the garage.

Rather annoyed!!!

Problem solved! It was the alternator, got a new one now and its working fine, no more cutting out!

Set me back £130 though :(

Got a bit of welding on one of the exhaust brackets done too.

Airbag light is still on though Does anyone know why? or how it can be reset or anything?

Quick update!

Had new clutch, back box and flexy fitted, Running a lot smoother now :)

Saving up for some coilovers next, as soon as I have them I can get my ATS Cups refurbished and sprayed then put on. Also got a DTM pipe waiting to go on as well, but I'm having second thoughts about it, its a bit on the large side and might have to cut a hole in the bumper which I don't really want to do.

Ahh well, should have some good progress soon :)

dude your problem sounds like mine...mine did that and it turned out to be a faulty alternator that was causing problems and the whole car cut out and died -_-

Yea I got a new alternator and its fine now, bit annoying but I'm glad its sorted now

Quick update!

I've had a new clutch fitted as the biting point was through the roof and kept slipping, new silencer and flexy as they were blowing a little bit, sorted my brakes out coz they were a little squeeky and my coilover fund is almost there! Should be lowered soon-ish

simple upgrade

number plate lights, or interior lights

all you need is a phillips screwdriver for the number plate lights

when you put them in and they dont work, just flip them around

and these sidelights

new left, old right

makes a big difference

I've just bought some headlight cream stuff to help them look alot better

i'll keep you posted on how it turns out
