ye boi. u cant see the bolts as there all hidden under the wings anyway :) i doubt id have fitted normal bolt heads under the wings tbh

Hahaha the 4 speed is gay the spring bit on the gearstick is fucked so u dont have to push it down to go into reverse

bit of progress this evening, got my exhaust of the old coupe on, the weldings a bit bodged, but it doesent seem to be blowing like it used to! looks good so yeee boi!

also, i put the autochoke from my old carb on to see if that was causing the running problems, and after charging the battery, it fired up instantly! the revs were nice and smooth too! just a tad high (1300ish) will look further into this.

i have 3 so i ook them apart and used the best parts from each, seemd to fix the problems but then i got half way up my road and it just cut out!

I had same problems mate. It was always the auto-choke with mine, refused to let it rev.

So in the end binned it and fitted a weber, and now I'm in the middle of ironing out my bike carb conversion lol

haha i want a weber but everyone puts so much scene tax on them! I'm tempted to go bike carbs again but i know its gonna end up with a 16v in it again if i do lol

I'm surprised how much bike carbs have gone up in price, glad I bought mine moons ago.

Snapped them up from someone off here for £30 bargain!

I'm luke I'm 5 and i paint my rocker cover like a JCB..... oh and I'm scrubbing down the bypasssssss.

just found even more rust on the rear arches.

tempted to just give up on this bloody thingand put the black one back together with as many silver bits as i can, and then spray the rest..

okay so the rust issue is:

• both rear arches
• rear valance (drivers side corner)
• inside petrol flap
• inside car under the rear drivers door card
• around windscreen
• boot (around the lock)
• probably the petrol tank lol

WHAT DO I DO??

do i build the black one back up? with all parts from silver car so it feels solid, and spray it?

or is someone a miracle worker at welding?
