Hi chaps,

Can anyone recommend places for Alloy Wheel Refurbishment. I'm based in Leeds but willing to travel 75 miles either way to get a decent job done. It's just basically for a full powdercoat and gloss lacquer applying to my Boavistas. If you've used anywhere in the past you would recommend then please let me know. I'm not particularly bothered if they're expensive (within reason) i'd just like a quality job doing so i'm not going to have further problems down the line.

cas coatings in bradford do powdercoating (basically wont weld cracks and take out curbing) but if your wheels are straight they are good and very cheap -

£1 per inch.

so £60 for 4x13" rims!

cool, not sure on prices, never had a set of wheels done by him but I've seen his work and its very good, i just use him for aluminium welding

do they blast the wheels as well pete, or do you have to take them already stripped?

search for them on ed38 and you'll get photos and stuff..

they acid dip them then powdercoat.

I've seen samg40s set - not perfect, but very very good!

They strip and coat them at CAS coatings.

I bought a set of RA's which were shagged (but not curbed). Took them in with tyres, weights and valves removed but they were still dirty as fook:

After a day or two at CAS coatings and some new caps they came out like this:

They honestly looked brand new.

It is £1 an inch + VAT for standard silver and a couple other colours. Then their prices go up a little for different colours etc but not by much at all. Silver looks best anyways :-)

That is for a strip and powdercoat. They don't do any rim reconditioning etc as they are a powdercoating company not a full on wheel refurbishment company.

CAS coatings seem to do a great job for a good price, but they need a 3 day period to turn them round - I'd need them doing the same day I'll give them a buzz tomorrow and find out if they can do it in a day for me :-D

Based in Garforth, 2 day turn around most of the time, can weld kerbed wheels. Not cheap, however. They did my mate's wheels a couple of days ago though.

I can vouch for CAS codings as well, pretty cheap for what they do. Guess it depends what sort of budget you're on.

i can also vouch for CAS coatings, apparently they just file down any major kurbing so there is nothing raised but there will still be the depressions as they dont do any filling if you get me :)

had a set of wheels done there and they looked cracking! :) and top guys too
