so went to see this yesturday and wanted it as soon as i seen it

wanted something different 2 a golf and something a bit bigger

had been in the guys family for years was his grandads and dads befor him and he didnt want to see it get scraped so got it for a fair price. it has tax for a month but is an mot fail

the car had had a bump front a rear so after taking pics a set about finding out what damage it had made and striped the front and rear

turns out nothing was damaged at the front apart from the metal grill suround

the back was a dif story sadly

left side fine

right side... well

kinda gutted about that but hey not unfixable

then set about stiping the inside to see what the floor was like

failed the mot for a hole near the passengers seat belt and ye there was a bit of a hole lol

found another 1 next to the front arch on the floor

first plans are to sort out the body work. (holes and rusty panels) then stip pritty much everything els off. give it a paint and sort out the rest of the mot fail list befor moding

plan is to make it something like this

if anyone has any parts or knows anyone that dose give me a heads up much need help

and dose anyone know if the mk2 parts fit this modle apart from the obv lights and grill

need the metal bit that goes along the bottom of the grill and lights

new light backs(the fitting bits)

new metal bumper (bit behind the front bumper)

could do with a rear valance

anything would be helpful tho.

anyone know a site that sells new repair panels?

Mk2 grille won't fit in a mk3 if that's what your asking.

no i mean everything but the grill and and lights

and you probibly rite not to botherd if its in the same colour as will be geting resprayed anyway

didnt know if you could get NEW panels like you can the golfs as easy

took the plastic arches off the front and the wings arnt any good :(

good news is the inners are ok as far as i can see

sills are sound as well so chuffed with that

gona take the back 1s off tomoro. hoping they rnt as bad as this lol

Plans look smart mate. Looks like you've got a fear bit of work ahead to sort all that out.

As inspectorDUB said, best bet is to take a look at the cars breaking section for parts.

Don't know if the rear panel for the loon is still made?!, but that looks like it would pull out anyway.

I got my front panel and wing off eBay. Just new pattern parts. Rest was from scrappy and cars breaking.

Drill all the spot welds.

cheerz m8 found a few bits and bobs and 1 new wing on ebay

hoping the arse will pull out it

not much of an update

managed to get the front off after a lot of battering about

the bit that the lights fit into isnt gona come off in 1 so thinking of trying to get ahold of a hole front bit

anyone got 1 ?:)

got a set of alloys kicking about and thought id try 1 on

like them on it but hate the center caps and i need to get them stiped as cheap as possible as they have some paint (all different colours) that just wont come off! and 1 needs welding:(

rw alloys. anyone heard of them ? lol
