Hi all,

I'm looking to get a remote central locking kit for my 6n2 16v! It has central locking on the key, however I want to have remote central locking!

Have looked at the kits but am unsure as to whether these are for car which have NO central locking at all! as when I put my key in and turn it all the doors unlock and i can hear the pumps! would these pumps need replacing with the ones from the kit?

Also they say about the transponder chips?!?!?! i just have a key with a light button on it lol

Any help accepted gratefully...

The "Rclick" universal kit will interface with your existing key only central locking, they come with a replacement fob with a flip-out key that will need to be cut to your locks and the transponder chip removed from your key and put into the new keyfob or you can use it as just a fob and then you continue to use your original key

The universal kit by the virtue of its name is universal to all car makes/models, so it's not plug n play, you have to wire it into your cars wiring, I think they also do a vehicle type kit that you unplug the connector from the pump and plug the new wiring into it and onto the pump.

Not sure about the colour of the LED, probably red, but you could go to Maplins and get a Blue one to replace it, would need the use of a soldering iron
